Prince Caspian Review

A whole movie review in two sentences:

Prince Caspian was The most epicly-spinetingling, engrossing, emotionally-thrilling, ecumenically-strengthening film I think that I have ever seen. I will warn you, there are at least two things that are radically different from the book; but CS Lewis's spirit is still there and you have ABSOLUTELY no good excuse to NOT see this movie.

Conclusion(does not count as part of the review):

Go. See. It...Now. Even today if possible. If you can only see one movie for this whole year, make it Prince Caspian. Forget about Iron Man and The Dark Knight. And I don't want any whiney comments about the differences from the book.

Side note: It has quite a good deal of stuff that I wouldn't recommend for anyone under the age of 8-9. I like scary movies, and even I was scared at one point.

Love, a very thrilled, hopeful, and happy,
Wes

Ah man.
Today was a lot of fun, lots of energy.

I enjoyed the words you used to describe the movie. As someone who was highly unsure about going to see it, it was... I'm speechless. A really, really, well-made movie on every level. I was completely engrossed by the emotions and plot. The soundtrack was beautiful too.

Thanks for organizing ijosh!

If you liked the soundtrack from this one, you'll like the soundtrack from the one before, cause they copy-pasted it in.

I myself would probably choose not to see it again, you can ask me why some other time, I'm not going to go into it right now.

I thought there were some really good parts, the sword play was excellent, and the characters were able to elicit a few good laughs out of me.

Okay, after seeing it, herre is what I thought:

Very Well Done!

I personally thought there were almost too many Lord of the Rings quotes (Telmarine castle looks like Barad-Dur, Lucy looks like Arwen flying through the woods on a horse with a couple behind her in haste, etc.), but they did a good job considering that the book itself is harder for screenplay. They may have taken some liberties, but I was happy with all of the additions... except for the stupid kiss in the end. Sure, Book One says that many princes came to ask for Susan's hand in marriage, but the kissing looked pointless.

But hey, I loved it!

But man, if I were Adamson, I'd fire Gregson-Williams from the music scoring. He did a fine job- for one movie! Not for two! They are the same soundtrack in almost everyway, except that Switchfoot plays at the end instead. Just drop the Gregson- part of his name and use the remaining name as the choice for composer.

Oops, I just realized that my "boo" could be taken in a derogatory fashion. It was not meant to be anything of the sort. All this deep discussion was getting me down, and, being the person that I am, tried to lighten things up a bit. I guess I could have said something else. Shucks.

Chihuahua!

So wierd

Short and sweet review! Loved that movie!!! And I am NOT a fantasy movie-type person...Court's enthusiasm (sp?) rubbed off on me and I ended up liking it alot!

Sorry to be a hateful wretch, but I'm still not sure whether I liked or abhorred the movie.

-(I am appreciative to Joshua for organizing going to see it though)
